Answer: The bend and cracks is probably happened when the pellets leaving the pellet mill. The reason it that the cutter is too far away from the ring die surface or the cutter blade is dull. When the pellets coming out of the ring die, they are broken by the dull cutter or have been torn before reaching the cutter and being cut off. In this situation, some pellets will present many cracks and bend to one side.
Check the cutter and make sure it is sharp. Adjust the distance between the cutter to ring die surface.
Increase the compression ratio of the ring die pellet mill so that to increase the density and hardness of final pellets. Crush the raw materials more fine. If the situation is still not improved, use a proper adhesive to improve the adhesion strength of the pellets.
